BISER representatives at the first kick-off Partnership Meeting in Riga

The first meeting of the new project “Social entrepreneurship development in the Baltic Sea region” took place on 27th September 2017 in Riga. The aim of the meeting was to present experience of each project’s organization and identification of key activities in the project.

The main objective of the entire project is to stimulate the development of the social entrepreneurship (SE) in the Baltic Sea region, providing educational, networking and best practice exchange opportunities in the Baltic Sea region countries.

The meeting was attended by representatives of four non-profit organizations working for the development of social entrepreneurship and strengthening cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region:

  • Social innovation centre (SIC) – Latvia
  • Social Entrepreneurs in Denmark (SED)- Denmark
  • Baltic Institute for Regional and European Concern (BISER) – Poland
  • Autonomous non-commercial organization (COBUCE) – Russia

During the project opening meeting, all organizations presented their activities, project experience and proposals to use their potential in the project. In addition, there have been identified key organizational issues, such as the timetable for upcoming works, planning of study visits in Russia, Denmark, and Poland, as well as the provision of methodology and clarification of terminology to be implemented in the project.

Before the meeting, all partners took part in Forum “Social business incubation for youth and innovative solutions of fundraising”.
The closest project activities involving local community are scheduled for November 2017.
