The Annual Fora of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region are the meeting place for actors, organisations and projects implementing the Strategy. This is an event not to be missed if you are serious about the BSR cooperation! 🙂 We encourage all the ENGAGE! project beneficiaries to save this date in your calendars and join the Forum online or – if possible i.e. thanks to ENGAGE! project support – in physical format. Close to the date, we will be informing you about the final decision on how it will be organised and if there will be a possibility to join the event as an NGO representative thanks to the ENGAGE! project. The project is implemented with a grant from the Active Citizens – National Fund funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Funds.
The 2022 Annual Forum of the EUSBSR will take place on 28-29 September in Lappeenranta, Finland.
The event is organized jointly by the City of Lappeenranta, the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) Secretariat and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
If the epidemiological situation is favourable, the Forum will be organized as a physical event. Plans are also made for a hybrid/virtual event in case the pandemic continues.
The organisers of the Annual Forum follow with distress the tragic events unfolding in Ukraine. However, the preparations for the 2022 EUSBSR Annual Forum continue. Cooperation in the Baltic Sea region remains important. The Forum is organised in accordance with the sanctions imposed on Russia and Belarus in response to their aggression, as well as other relevant decisions such as those taken by the EUSBSR National Coordinators Group and the CBSS regarding the suspension of cooperation with Russia and Belarus.
