BALTIC SEA NGO NETWORK COORDINATING COMMITTEE MEETING AND HA CAPACITY MEETING IN GDAŃSK

On 25 and 26th Feb 2016 in the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk Polish BS NGON focal point, acting as the main organizer of the XIV Annual BSNGON Forum, invited the representatives from all the BSR states to discuss the Forum preparations and our cooperation in the Horizontal Action “Capacity”. During the 1st day we presented the agenda for the upcoming Forum, discussed the submitted project for the polish MFA and other administrative and organizational issues regarding the Forum and the Polish Presidency in the BS NGO Network. BISER was represented by Magda Leszczyna-Rzucidło, who is a member of the Coordinating Committee (CC), and Michał Granica and Krystian Zdziennicki, who both presented their project for the youth forum to be organized parallel to the annual Forum. Representatives from all the BSR states and all focal points came to Gdańsk, including new Norwegian focal point representative and for the 1st time – CC member from Iceland (which will take on the BS NGON presidency after Poland, starting from 1st July 2016).

On the 2nd Day CC members met with the representatives from the HA Capacity –from Norden Association (who represents BS NGON in the HA Capacity works) and Swedish Institute. BS NGON, SI and UBC are three institutions who are leading works of HA Capacity.  During the meeting we Anders Bergstrom informed us about the work plan for the Action for the upcoming years and we discussed BS NGON role in the partnership. We were also informed about the upcoming Annual EUSBSR meeting in November in Stockholm, where we could present the aims of our cooperation as the HA Capacity coordinators.
