The Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference held its 25th annual conference on 28-30 August 2016 in Riga. PhD Magda Leszczyna-Rzucidło represented BYSED consortium at the event and gave a speech about our recent youth social entrepreneurship seminar during the BS NGO Forum in Gdańsk. The conference took place under the heading “High Quality Education and Labour – The Future of the Baltic Sea Region”. The BSPC President welcomed the participants on Monday morning, followed by welcome addresses by the President of the Republic of Latvia, Mr Raimonds Vejonis, and the Speaker of the Latvian Parliament, Ms Inara Murniece.
In three thematic sessions, the parliamentarians will debate the state of the region, including “Cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region”, “How to develop competitiveness in the Baltic Sea Region by linking education and the labour market” and “Realising employment opportunities – Improving labour mobility and combating youth unemployment”.
